I am a systems thinker & people lover and thrive in collaboration with others to create, discover, and uncover together. Through curiosity and wonder, I’m fascinated, inspired and impassioned by the human ability to shift perspective and perception and effectively enhance or transform one’s experience. With this in mind, I design experiences that aim for engaging, interesting, useful and fun.

I’ve worked with amazing educational organizations such as Vision Education and Media and the NYC Center for Space Science Education, among others.  At the New York Hall of Science I opened the Maker Space, engaged in all things maker related and collaborated with Björk to implement her Biophilia Educational Project. I’m the proud co-founder of RapidFTR, a mobile & desktop application and database system that assisted the incredible efforts that go into the family tracing and reunification process led by UNICEF and other NGOs. And most recently, I produced Brooklyn Bugs, New York’s first 3-day festival that celebrates and explores the gastronomical and sustainable aspects of edible insects (entomophagy).

This runs the gamut from research & strategy, including heuristic evaluations, content audits, personas & user journeys to flows, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, and user testing.
I enjoy crafting fun interactive projects, which include a series of sculptures that inflate when presence is detected and a visual musical interface that I performed with live using a lightsaber.
Communicating, connecting, and coordinating. Keeping track of resources, time, and people. All that and then some. It's definitely more fun when it's an event involving edible insects.
Whether you're 7 or 77, I can show you the ropes in Mindstorms & help you navigate through designing and 3D printing. But, having the opportunity to facilitate meaningful conversations around the importance of maker education - that is definitely a win.
Beyond teaching, I started formally mentoring youth via iMentor, then found my way into more active roles mentoring & volunteering through Stoked. I'm also a big believer in peer mentorship and the immense value of empowering, encouraging, and inspiring one another.
